Job Summary:
The Training Coordinator, Technical Operations reports to the Supervisor, Training & Systems Support within the Maintenance Quality Assurance department. This position supports the compliance and effectiveness of the Technical Operations Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) Training Program.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Manage the assignment of initial, recurrent, upgrade and additional training with the Approved Maintenance Organization, including both regulatory and required before use training
- Organize and facilitate the onboarding document and training requirements of new hires, transfers and upgraded team members
- Support the Supervisor, Training & Systems Support and Trainers, Technical Operations in the scheduling of type endorsement courses and internal practical training for all Technical Operations team members
- Act as an Administrator for the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Maintain accurate training records for all Technical Operations team members
- Maintain accurate document records for all Technical Operations team members
- Control the issuance, amendment and archiving of Authorization Cards including categories and limitations
- Control signing authority rights, stamps and digital signatures within the MRO software
- Participate in the development of training program creation
- Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
- Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

- Experience in the aviation industry an asset
- Experience using the Saba Learning Management System an asset
- Effective communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills; keen attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary airport security clearance
- Must maintain a valid passport and be able to travel when required
