Our Johnston St plant in Ottawa is looking for a **Production Associate**

Please note that we do require a clean police record check and that you have a minimum grade 12 education (A proof of diploma or higher education will be asked).

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Associate will be responsible for: - Performing daily production duties while prioritizing safety.
- Operate manufacturing equipment as per standard operating and safety procedures.
- Responsible for housekeeping on a continual basis as per 5S standards.
- Immediate notification of all production and quality issues to lead hand operator or Supervisor.
- Maintain a basic knowledge of the positions to provide relief on a short-term basis.
- Must have a reliable means of transportation and arrive at work on time.
- Perform other related duties that may be assigned by supervision.
- Follow all plant rules and safety procedures.

**Monday to Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm**

**Requirements**:

- Minimum grade 12 education and some post-secondary education preferred
- Must be a team player
- Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner
- Able to learn to operate automated plant manufacturing equipment
- Must be able to interact, communicate and work effectively and professionally with all employees and management staff in a team-oriented environment.

**Physical Demands**:

- Must be able to spend a significant amount of time on plant floor. Job includes tasks that require walking, bending, twisting, gripping, stair climbing, lifting, and entering confined spaces.
- Must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment necessary to comply with government and company safety standards
