Early R&i Associate Director Patient Insights

**The Associate Director Patient Insights **will work in partnership with the Patient Insights Director to deliver patient and site insights to project teams within the Late R&I organization. This role will deliver key insight packages to support the design of patient-centric trials so that the patient and site voice is included in R&D problem solving and decision-making.
**The Associate Director Patient Insights **will lead and coordinate the delivery of the patient and site engagement strategy developed by the Patient Insights Director. This task will require interaction with different internal and external stakeholders, including as well as vendor management.
The Associate Director Patient Insights will also contribute our efforts in driving patient centricity, as well as helping to drive the implementation of the innovative and patient-centric solution in AstraZeneca’s clinical trials.
**Typical Accountabilities**
- Ensure a consistent framework is applied to the delivery of patient and site insights to clinical project teams.
- Ensure and hold accountable vendors and internal partners (eg patient engagement directors, clinical project teams, and global study teams) for the delivery of the insight work
- Ensure that the insights are collected in accordance with the AZ compliance and privacy guidance
- Ensure that the insights are stored and documented in a reusable manner to be shared and accessible to all
- Continuously improve tools and services based on end-user feedback
- Contribute to internal initiatives as an advocate for patients and sites, to ensure insight information is available in a standardized way
**Essential**
- Bachelor or advanced degree in science
- Passion for patients and sites, with a clear desire to optimize patient clinical study experiences
- TA knowledge - Experience in AZ core Therapeutic Areas/Indication
- Experience from Drug Development and clinical operations in the pharmaceutical industry
- Validated experience in data analysis, data interpretation to inform decision making
- Validated experience in handling internal stakeholders (including conflict management)
- Validated experience in working with partners, CROs
- Validated project management experience
- Ability to handle multiple and diverse requests with contending deadlines
- Validated experience working with Global teams
**Desirable**
- Self-directed with global development operations expertise
- Exceptional interpersonal, networking, oral, and written communication, skills
- Understanding of patient and site burden in clinical trials
- Ability to operationalize concepts and analytical skills to evaluate outputs
