Join our CVRM Insights, Analytics & Forecasting team as a Global Insights Leader and drive performance for the CVRM Commercial Business Unit. This strategic role involves generating insights and analytics, understanding brand dynamics, and consolidating data from various sources into actionable recommendations. As a key partner to the Brand Teams, you will bring independent and critical thinking, support, and challenge where necessary. You will also work closely with collaborators such as Operations, Finance, and key Marketing Companies.
Accountabilities
Insights Generation
- Lead the integration of insight and analysis from various sources (PMR, CI, secondary data) to inform key decisions including brand strategy and forecasts.
- Consolidate primary and secondary data into actionable brand opportunity/strategy recommendations.
- Generate qualitative and quantitative insights to understand patient and physician behavior, trends, and drive strategic implementation within the brand.
- Drive sales force performance with research informing optimized message strategy, segmentation, targeting, and quality of customer interactions.
- Ensure interpretation of primary market research generates relevant actionable insights. Translate business issues into Insight plans that address knowledge gaps and leverage functional expertise to design research and interpret results.
- Coordinate all primary research following internal compliance policies and standard methodologies, collaborating with approved vendors.
- Align and integrate insights with CVRM Brand/Advanced Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE), competitive intelligence, and Market Access Insight to inform brand performance and forecast assumptions.
- Work closely with the reporting team in the CoE to assist in the development and reporting of substantial metrics, fostering a deep understanding of brand performance and potential areas for improvement.
- Analyze data and lead the development of strong arguments to identify key opportunities and address critical business issues for the brand or therapeutic area.
- Business, Commercial or Scientific related degree
- 5-10 years analytical experience in the pharmaceutical or consumer industry
- Experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative market research involving different customer groups, including healthcare professionals, patients, and payers.
- Proven ability to conduct analytics using secondary data sources key to the pharmaceutical industry (IQVIA, Symphony, Prognos, Decision Resources, patient level data) and performance tracking
- Strong business insight, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of sales and marketing strategies.
- Ability to influence laterally and vertically
- Approach and attitude dedicated to a global perspective and strong emotional intelligence
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/assignments to demanding deadlines with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills as well as teamwork abilities
- Comfortable working in a matrix environment
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Experience in leading insight for a specialty product with knowledge of specialty pharmacy and buy-and-bill distribution and tracking
- MBA
- High degree of creativity and innovation in developing new approaches, processes, and methodologies
- In-depth knowledge of regional market dynamics and/or in-market or regional experience
- Experience within the Cardiovascular, Renal, Metabolism therapy areas

So, when I think of a day in the life of an immunology sales specialist, three words come to mind, one, patience two, passion and three, teamwork. And the reason why I say that is because of this. At AstraZeneca when we say patients come first, we mean patients come first. From everything that we do from our sales calls to our marketing activities. We have one question and one question only. And that is, how is this going to benefit patients? Two, passion, and that's where we come in. As immunology sales specialists, we are the ones that are able to take these marketing ideas, bring our passion and bring them to life into these offices, helping these healthcare providers, that's ultimately gonna help those patients. Three, teamwork, as an immunology sales specialist, you are the quarterback that are able to take the team of experts behind us from marketing to market access, and be able to bring those to the field, to be able to help as many offices that can, again, ultimately help as many patients. So if you're out there and if you have the passion to help as many patients out, and that desire to win, because we do play to win here at AstraZeneca, then this is a place for you.
