D U T I E S
Reporting to the Chair, Creative Communications and Communication Management, this
Instructor is required to teach courses in the post-graduate diploma in Communication
Management. Courses could include advanced Business for Communicators, Communications
Leadership and others within the program. These courses are offered weekday evenings, online,
to students who are early
- and mid-career communication professionals. Drawing on extensive
professional experience at senior levels in industry, Instructors are expected to lead dynamic,
engaging instruction to students. Duties will include the preparation of course materials and
assessments, instruction of students and evaluation of course materials. Duties related to
instructing include curriculum development and maintenance, preparing course outlines,
maintaining student records, student evaluation, and assisting in College activities.
- R E Q U I R E D Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S- Post-graduate degree in Public Relations, Business Communications, Marketing, Advertising,
- or a related field. A combination of education and experience will be considered.- Experience in the practice of organizational communication management at a senior level in a
- large organization- Organizational experience integrating Experience Management principles into corporate
- communications- Organizational experience consulting with senior leadership on corporate governance, risk
- management, disclosure, financial reporting, and stakeholder relationships- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Experience presenting information and engaging with people via Microsoft Teams or similar
- online meeting platforms- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning

and continuous improvement.
- A S S E T S- Experience teaching adult learners
- C O N D I T I O N S O F E M P L O Y M E N T- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer
- months- Instructors are required to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Education

program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE)
