**Position**: SEO Content Specialist

**Location**: New Westminster, BC

**Expected Start Date**:May, 2024

**Reports to**: Head of Marketing

**Working Hours**: Regular office Hours

**Salary**: $50 - $60k per annum

**WHAT WILL YOU DO?**
- Develop and execute effective SEO strategies to drive organic traffic and improve search engine rankings.
- Conduct keyword research to identify high-value opportunities and optimize content accordingly.
- Create compelling and informative content for websites, blogs, social media, and other digital platforms.
- Optimize on-page elements such as meta tags, headings, and internal links to enhance SEO performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align content creation with marketing objectives and target audience needs.
- Monitor and analyze website performance using SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Moz.
- Stay updated on industry trends, algorithm changes, and best practices in SEO and content marketing.
- Identify opportunities for content optimization and improvement based on data insights and performance metrics.
- Implement technical SEO enhancements to improve website structure, crawlability, and indexability.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and tools in digital marketing and SEO to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, and/or in a related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with communication and online content production

**Skills and Abilities**
- Proven experience as an SEO Specialist, Content Writer, or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of SEO principles, techniques, and best practices.
- Proficiency in keyword research tools and SEO analytics platforms.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas for content creation.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive content and SEO strategies.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Drupal.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
