Community Connections Coordinator

**Hours of Work: 35 hours per week**

**Job Status: 1 Year Contract**

**Base office**: TBD (Bracebridge, Huntsville, Parry Sound, Sundridge or Gravenhurst)

**Purpose of the Position**:
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Community Connections Coordinator plans, organizes, and evaluates the organization’s community outreach initiatives, social media, and volunteer program. The role requires the ability to be flexible, multi-task and prioritize multiple projects. The Community Connections Coordinator is a position that requires travel in the service areas of Muskoka and Parry Sound and to office locations in Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Huntsville, Parry Sound, and Sundridge.

**Education and Qualifications**:

- Post-Secondary Education with courses related to Fundraising, Marketing, Social Media, and Public Relations and a minimum of two years related experience.
- Post-secondary Education in a Volunteer Management Program-related field and a minimum of two years related experience.
- Experience using online databases.
- Ability to use and learn new technology (computers, software programs, phones, printers/scanners, alarm/security systems etc.).
- Ability to participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new volunteers as well as manage volunteer assignments.
- Facilitate and support educational and awareness sessions in collaboration with clinical teams and staff.
- Identify impactful community events for potential attendance and partnership.
- Understanding of the mental health and addictions sector an asset.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as cooperatively within a team environment in a rural setting.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, the Internet, and data management software
- A willingness to serve clients within the communities of the District of Muskoka and Parry Sound
- A valid Ontario G or G2 driver’s license, a safe and reliable means of transportation, and appropriate insurance for work purposes on your vehicle with a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability coverage.
- Bilingual in French/English language considered an asset.
- Work schedule may include days/evenings/weekends and statutory holidays.

**Salary scale**: $27.02 - $30.85 per hour commensurate with qualifications and experience

**Benefits include**:optional enrollment in aRegistered Retirement plan with HOOPP where contributions start on date of hire.
