Research Assistant

**OVERVIEW**
The Research Assistant will be responsible for supporting a research project which seeks to explore the barriers and possibilities around delivering reproductive health care to trans and gender diverse individuals in the GTA.
Reporting to the Research Business Manager, the Research Assistant will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and study team to conduct project-specific recruitment, conduct qualitative and quantitative data collection and data analysis as needed. This will include engaging patient partners, interviewing participants, transcription and coding of data. The Research Assistant will also support dissemination activities including working on literature reviews and development of abstracts for publication and presentations.
This is a 6-month contract position with a chance of renewal. The average time commitments are 10 hours per week (variable).
**EDUCATION**

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare research.
- Knowledge and experience in working with trans and gender diverse individuals.
- Knowledge and experience in obtaining informed consent for research studies.
- Knowledge and experience in administering survey instruments.
- Knowledge and experience in conducting qualitative research interviews.
- Knowledge and experience in qualitative data analysis.
- Knowledge and experience in community based and participatory research
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail required.
- Demonstrated skill in performing academic literature searches and professional and academic writing required.
- Able to work independently, without immediate supervision, and as part of a team.
- A high degree of professionalism and respect for colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and confidential data.
- Experience working with patient partners is considered an asset
