**Finance & Property Management Assistant**
KFHC is searching for a full-time Finance & Property Management Assistant. This position will report to the Finance & Administration Department in addition to supporting the Property Management Department.
The position is unionized and is responsible for duties in both departments. The salary is $26.13 an hour with an annual salary of $47,556 with blended duties from both departments. The work week is a 35-hour work week Monday to Friday. The successful applicant must have a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, a proven ability to deliver results and to manage short and long-term priorities and objectives in a fast-paced changing environment.
**Duties**include but are not limited to assisting in the operations of the Portable Housing Benefit Program & Rent Supplement Program, ensuring tenants are compliant with the annual insurance requirements, assisting in tenancy matters and concerns including rental arrears, and property damage, providing accurate and timely financial requirements and providing front desk services in terms of rent payments and tenants inquiries.
**Qualifications**:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting and/or business administration.
Minimum of three years of general accounting experience.
Ability to communicate effectively with tenants and the public to assist in tenancy matters and concerns including rental arrears, property damage, and social concerns/disputes.
Ability to obtain general knowledge of the Housing Services Act, Residential Tenancy Act, and all relevant legislation.
Proficiency in computerized accounting and property management systems with Yardi experience is an asset.
Obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and possess a valid G driver’s license.
Tentative Start Date: November 15, 2023.
