Community Futures Wood Buffalo has an opening for a **Community & Business Support Officer.**

Community Futures Wood Buffalo is a non-profit organization that’s dedicated to building an economically diverse future for the communities of the Wood Buffalo Region.

Staffed by seasoned business professionals, and guided by a volunteer Board of Directors, we’re more than just a business lender. Community Futures has over 30 years of experience helping rural entrepreneurs grow and thrive as small business owners.

The **Community & Business Support Officer **will work local area business owners to help them start, grow, expand, franchise, or sell their business. In addition, they bring expertise in design, and delivering of business programs, provides entrepreneurs support in technical advisory services targeted to youth and entrepreneurs with disabilities, community economic development and planning.

The successful applicant is a **relationship builder**, not afraid of getting in front of a group of people and delivering top notch business programming. They participate in regular business networking events, has experience in Curriculum Development, Program Development, and Grant Writing.

The Community & Business Support Officer is a key position at Community Futures and requires a business minded person that possesses a wide range of skills.

**The Position**
- Assist business clients by providing business information and resources.
- Analysis and assessment of business proposals.
- Monitor the Investment Loan Portfolio.
- Develop curriculum for targeted business training.
- Facilitate business training to small/large groups of business owners.
- Develop relationships with other non-profit organizations, business support organizations, and other for/non profit entities which would further the mission of Community Futures Wood Buffalo.
- Promote training opportunities provided by Community Futures Wood Buffalo to the community at large.
- Excellent Program Management abilities.
- Possess experience working with Indigenous Groups.

**Education/Experience**:

- Business Diploma/Degree
- Business Training/Education Background
- Commercial Lending
- Small Business Ownership
- Business Analysis, counselling, coaching and business development experience

**Computer Skills**:

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
- Competent computer user including strong organizing and file management skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $69,000.00-$88,000.00 per year
