**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Advanced Metering Infrastructure this position is responsible for monitoring the flow of data between various AMI systems. The position will ensure data integrity is maintained within meter databases, and will review system performance information, conduct analysis, assess meter asset condition and support in the identification of required maintenance activities for AMI water meters and radio transmitters. This position will support others in the assessment of distribution system performance and water loss analysis.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Monitors flow of data between AMI systems through interfaces and scheduled automations to ensure that data synchronization is maintained.
- Develops & maintains sophisticated reporting to evaluate meter asset database for accuracy and completeness.
- Identifies irregularities in meter asset data, determines root cause and recommends corrective action.
- Monitors overall performance and health of AMI system & network; supports in the response to automated notifications and alerts.
- Analyzes results from large meter maintenance program to determine overall effectiveness; identifies variables that that impact meter accuracy performance; reports on findings and prepares recommendations.
- Supports others in the forecasting of short-term & long-term meter maintenance needs
- Gathers, sorts, and analyzes hourly consumption data to support in the assessment of distribution system performance and water loss analysis
- Assists in the development of procedures and policies as required and contributes to implementing continuous improvement processes.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop, maintain reporting requirements to support AMI business needs.
- Manipulates tabular and spatial data, conducts spatial analysis, queries databases (GIS & other), and presents data clearly and efficiently using reports, interactive maps, tables, dynamic charts and graphs to meet business requirements
- Informs, educates, and advises management and staff on meter asset information contained in Public works technology systems and repositories.
- Cultivates and maintains effective relationships with various internal stakeholders.
- Provides timely responses to inquiries regarding asset data, analysis and mapping.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
**Skills & Qualifications**:
**Essential**
- Post-Secondary School Education in a related field
- The incumbent will have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the water and wastewater industry, preferably in a government environment or other large organization
- Proven ability to gather data, analyze and make recommendations.
- The individual must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
**Preferred**
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Experience with GIS, and management of large databases
