As the People Operations Coordinator you will play a key role in supporting all People and Culture functions and programs including recruitment and selection, learning and development, wellness, benefit administration and employee recognition. You will also be performing end to end employment event coordination and administration, ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of all related paperwork, systems and communication. In addition, you will be providing administrative support to the People and Culture team by organizing meetings, drafting minutes, invoice administration, supporting records and information management practices and other related activities.

**What you’ll do**
- Leads full cycle recruitment activities for administrative positions and supports People Program Specialist with recruitment activities for management positions
- Coordinates end-to-end administration of employment events including drafting paperwork, update of relevant systems, payroll notification, pension and benefit updates
- Collaborates with People and Culture Business Partner and People Programs Specialist to gather all data needed to process employment events
- Supports employee wellness program by overseeing fitness reimbursement program and tracking usage, creating fitness class schedules and communicating with vendors
- Supports in the coordination of MCC’s employment recognition programs
- Manages employee gift fund by liaising with departments, purchases and tracking budget
- Supports Learning & Development through coordination of course registration, tracking requests, budget and managing and tracking of feedback forms
- Manages People and Culture inbox, triages all incoming messages, responds to messages as appropriate and escalates as needed
- Schedules and coordinates, including administrative duties, team meetings and events

**What you need to succeed**

**Experience**
- 1-3 years of experience supporting and administering HR programs
- Experience drafting employee paperwork (employment agreements, letters of offer)
- Experience providing administrative support (coordinating meetings, taking minutes, invoicing and budget tracking)
- Experience working within an HR Information System (HRIS)
- Experience working with SharePoint

**Technical Skills**
- Knowledge of HR practices and programs
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Project and change management

**Competencies**
- Highly developed attention-to-detail
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to speak with confidence, ask questions, clarify and reinforce HR policies and procedures as the situation requires
- Keen interest, experience, and tendency toward process improvement, efficiency, and consistency
- Equal ability to work both independently, as well as part of a dynamic team

**Education**
- Post-secondary education in HR Management or equivalent
- CHRP/CHRL or working towards designation an asset

**Language**
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; bilingualism in French an asset.
