Scheduler/ Office Admin

Position includes great health/dental/extended benefits after 3 months.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Coordinates the daily running of the schedule for approximately 120 employees
- Ensures suitable staff ratios
- Approve vacation requests
- Cover sick calls
- Answers phone and/or in-person inquires and routes to appropriate staff member if required. Responds to routine queries with regard to the organization and services provided.
- Compiles payroll timesheets with appropriate schedule changes and helps check payroll entries.
- Prints schedules for distribution. Posts changes to scheduler on a daily basis.
- Complete Stat Calculations
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
**Qualifications, Job Skills and Abilities**:
Highschool diploma required. At least six months’ previous office experience is preferred.
- Scheduling experience is an asset
- Experience working with DayForce is an asset
- Experience working in a Union environment is an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to organize work and carry out the duties of the position with independence.
- Computer skills especially related to use of office programs.
- Proficient organization, time and general management skills.
- Ability to operate telephone switchboard and other office equipment.
**Additional Information**:
Business casual office environment with a strong team mentality. Located near Metrotown in Burnaby, BC, employees have the option to transit or drive to work. (parking paid by employer).
**Salary**: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
