To meet these growth challenges, WSP is currently looking for a **Project Manager **to join our Transmission and Distribution Team, located in our office in Thornhill, Ontario, Canada.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for the operational performance of designated small-to-mid-sized Power Construction Services / Hydro projects. This position is within the market sector Transmission and Distribution of the Power Division and is related to the transmission and distribution of electricity. We work in collaboration with public and private sector clients on innovative projects that allow our team members to prove their expertise and to train a new generation of passionate people.

**What you can expect to do here**:

- Manage Hydro projects through construction and close out stages.
- Control schedule and follow up with the team on project deliverables.
- Review the Green Construction Folder (GCF) documentation, civil and electrical designs, be aware of the project scope.
- Lead and facilitate project pre-construction meetings with client, contractors, inspectors, and other 3rd parties. Record the meeting minutes.
- Support Inspectors with Material Verification (BOM), Contractors’ monthly billing, change orders, non-conformance reports, attainment requests.
- Support and monitor project close-out process, track deliverables & schedule, deficiency review, and track lessons learned.
- Prepare quarterly reports, status updates and maintain project trackers.
- Participate in the Internal, Contractor’s and Client’s bi-weekly or weekly meetings, provide status updates. Perform any other related tasks that may assist in the delivery of the projects.

**What you’ll bring to WSP**:

- Post secondary diploma or degree in a related field;
- PMP certification is preferable;
- More than 5 years project management experience in a technical engineering discipline, or similar, working with utility companies;
- Ability to Read Electrical and Civil Drawings;
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint;
- Strong organizational skills and the aptitude to prioritize and organize workload; and
- Experience in the utility construction industry is an asset.
