We are looking for a hands-on, strategic, and driven HR Business Partner to work alongside a talented local and regional HR team to support our business in the US and achieve our ambitious growth plans by focusing on our most important asset, our people.

The HR Business Partner/Canada HR Manager is responsible for partnering with key, growing business units and leaders to deliver strong strategic support to identify and meet objectives. With support and collaboration from regional centers of excellence, this role will identify and drive key priorities to engage and develop our employees, as well as position Fugro as an employer of choice.

Job Responsibilities- Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.- Build strong relationships with key business stakeholders, both in the business and HR, maintaining a focus on strategic guidance, process improvement and maintaining the highest degree of integrity.- Directly support dedicated Service Line Managers, Business Line Managers, and other key stakeholders in strategic people matters, change management and organizational effectiveness needs; partnership will include Canada and US-based stakeholders.-
- Oversee day-to-day support for employees and managers on matters including organizational needs, hiring needs, employee experience, data updates and analytics, and internal policy questions.- Works alongside management and business leaders to ensure efficiency in organizational design and supports the talent planning process, succession planning, coaching, and key talent development.- Ensure compliance with company and Canadian HR policies, laws and best practices.- Lead Canada policy and benefit drafting, revisions, and establishment of best practices.- Partner in owning Workday system transactions, updates, and data review. Work with management to advise on personnel changes and effect those changes using proper internal processes.- Drives diversity, inclusion, and engagement initiatives.- Partner with the North American HR Manager and COE Leaders on key projects and initiatives.- Perform other duties as assigned.- North American travel up to 10%.

Required Qualifications- Legally authorized to work in Canada, without restrictions.- Bachelors in business, Human Resources or related field.- 7+ years of work experience in roles of increased complexity.- In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment law and best practices. CHRL preferred.- Familiarity with US best practices a plus.- Proven experience managing multiple aspects of the Human Resources function.- Strategic mindset and proactive approach in business partnering.- Excellent communication, presentation, and coaching skills.- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.- Ability to drive change.- Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.- Process improvement oriented.- Experience with Workday is a plus.
