**NOTE: This is a casual position approximately 20 hours per week (10:00 am - 2:00 pm)**

Students and Campus Life (SCL) provides an institutional approach to educational programming, student learning success and student mobility at NAIT. SCL offers a wide variety of student supports, including library, learning, advising, career, counselling and recreation/fitness services and resources, as well as helps resolve matters of fairness or conflict. We support diverse people and communities, including (but not limited to) Aboriginal, international, religious/spiritual and 2SLGBTQIA+ students, and students with disabilities. We are also home to NAIT’s Ooks sports teams. In addition to working with students directly, SCL supports NAIT instructional staff in providing exceptional educational experiences. We do this through expertise in educational technology, curriculum and instruction and program planning.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Receive walk-in traffic to Student Counselling & Chaplaincy Office
- Maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere in the reception area, in addition to ensuring client confidentiality is respected within the reception area.
- Perform front office reception duties including answering phone calls, receiving, and relaying messages, responding to queries, helping visitors find their chosen service.
- Assist with student notifications such as appointment reminders, cancellations, and rescheduled appointments.
- Assist with data entry.
- Enact emergency procedures (as needed).
- This role is required to book appointments with appropriate staff members and handle sensitive and confidential information and documents while implementing Freedom of Information and Privacy Protection Policies (FOIPP), the Post-Secondary Learning Act and the use of Titanium Schedule booking and file management software (linking student questionnaires to their file, sending reminders, cancelling or rescheduling appointments.

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Well-developed customer service, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of, and skills using Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Databases, and scanning.
- Writing skills including accuracy in spelling and grammar.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work independently and with mínimal supervision.
- An understanding of Alberta Human Rights principles, diversity, inclusion and disability ethics, mental health office practice.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 1 year of experience in customer orientated office administration, preferably in a post-secondary or health setting.
- Completion of Grade 12. Post-secondary certificate or diploma is considered an asset.
- Equivalencies may be considered.

**Remuneration**: $20.97 - $26.97 hourly plus 12% vacation/holiday pay (Classification - Administrative Support III).
- This appointment is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement. _
