Job Summary:
The Specialist, Airline Partnerships is responsible for leading the technical implementation of Porter’s codeshare and Interline partnerships and providing post implementation technical, administration and reconciliation support. This role will work with various external and internal stakeholders across the organization and will be part of the team that will test and certify Porter’s airline partnership implementation during a rapid growth phase. The role will report to the Manager, Airline Partnerships and work with teams across the organization such as Revenue Management, Technology, Call Center, Finance, and Operations to ensure the successful and timely implementation of the partnerships

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Conduct testing of Porter’s airline partnership implementations in accordance with the agreed partnership strategy
- Ensure successful and timely technical certification of Codeshare and Interline implementations with identified partners
- Develop test cases and conduct customized testing based on the terms of the commercial agreement with the partner
- Participate in interactions with external Partner implementation teams to identify and resolve any issues through technical or process based solutions
- Work collaboratively with all internal departments including Solutions Delivery, Digital, Call Center, Airports, Operations and Finance to ensure success of Porter’s airline partnership portfolio implementation
- Coordinate with Porter’s technology team to identify solutions to issues encountered during and post implementation of Codeshare and Interline integration
- Work with Call center and other operational departments to manage and resolve process and policy conflicts driven from the day-to-day operational impact of partnership bookings
- Assist Finance team with queries related to billing discrepancies with partners and identify longer term solutions to ensure timely settlement of interline and codeshare revenues
- Periodically review selling activities and ensure that codeshare and interline flights are visible and selling on Porter’s website and other distribution channels
- Assist in developing business plans with revenue and passenger projections with identified partners
- Assist Porter Staff travel department with MyID travel and other partner staff travel implementations
- Assist Porter Staff travel department with managing staff bookings as needed
- Actively participates in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply with and promote the Company Safety Policy.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience preferably at a North American-based airline
- Strong knowledge of airline GDS distribution including Type A and Type B messaging
- Experience in the Airlines partnerships space is a significant asset
- University degree with a focus in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance or Technology is required
- Experience creating and working with rigorous process, documentation, project, and testing standards associated with business analysis and project management
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with a strong desire to forge long-lasting relationships
