Allied Universal is seeking Training & Performance Specialists based at YVR. As a Training & Performance Specialist (TPS) you will work closely with our client CATSA (Canadian Air Transport Security Authority) in delivering all Classroom and KPI (Key Performance Indicators) training while ensuring the organization meets high quality standards. You will have full responsibility for administering Training requirements as per CATSA SOPs (standard operating procedures) to all certified Screening Officers and Service Delivery Managers (SDM).

**BASIC REQUIREMENTS A CANDIDATE MUST HAVE IN ORDER TO BE HIRED**:
**Formal Education, Experience and Certifications Required**:

- Must be able to attain and maintain CATSA Certification which includes passing the Screening Officer Foundation course with 90% (Knowledge and X-ray Exam) and passing all the CATSA Medical requirements.
- A strong understanding of Adult Learning concepts.
- Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and collaboration skills.
- Flexible, versatile and thrives in a fast-paced work environment
- Must possess a hands-on approach to Training with ability to measure and assess staff training needs
- Effective coaching and presentation skills
- Knowledge of or experience in the Aviation industry an asset
- Ability to travel when needed

**III.** **SPECIFIC DUTIES PERFORMED AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: But not limited to**
- Collaborate with the Training and Operation Managers at the checkpoints to assess and facilitate training needs through the process of gap analysis for performance events
- Assist Operations in all operational KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) with the area of oversight while identifying operational strengths and weakness and improving operational efficiencies
- Train all Screening Officers by always enforcing the Standard Operating Procedures
- Deliver CATSA and Allied Universal training to groups or individuals.
- Evaluate effectiveness of training and assess training and development needs including coaching for all Screening Officers.
- Ensure completion of all CATSA and Allied Universal training - working with the managers to ensure Screening Officers are completing the training in a timely manner.
- Track and maintain all training through excel sheets and Allied Universal log-in
- Ad-hoc duties/projects as required by the Training and Performance Manager.

**VIII. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Standing or sitting for extended periods Walking and moving around people and equipment at the screening checkpoint without assistance.
- Lifting, pulling, or pushing bags/items for Training
- Bending, squatting, crouching, or kneeling for demonstrations.
- Reaching above the shoulder, at shoulder level, below side to side, up and down repetitively
- Identifying physical anomalies through touch pressure, texture when performing pat down or searching objects
