Working closely with the Director of Strategic Initiatives, the Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for the development and maintenance of partnerships and collaborations with community resources as well as leading workshops offered by the organization.

Summary of Role:

- Work closely with the Director of Strategic Initiatives to build bridges between the community and youth the organization serves.
- Collaborate with other team members during the implementation of programs, program development, and other projects.
- Plan, organize and facilitate LOVE programs in office, after-school, during the summer, as well as in locations throughout the community
- Act as a liaison with our collaborators and partners who benefit from our programs and services, as well as ensure adequate follow-up is done to maintain positive relationships.
- Develop and create new workshops, programs, and projects that best meet the needs of the participants.
- Help in participant recruitment and integration of new participants
- Accompany youth on outings and/or special activities/events.
- Attend and participate in special events (camp, youth holiday party, etc.).
- Promote the organization’s services and programs alongside the Director of Strategic Initiatives.
- Participate in meetings, special events and projects, including but not limited to fundraising galas, festivals, community meetings, and exhibitions.
- In support of the Executive Director and Director of Strategic Initiatives, represent LOVE Quebec in certain media appearances and events.
- All other tasks required for the improvement of the organization as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications:

- Level of studies: University undergraduate (Bac), psychology, social service, psychoeducation, human relations, sociology or a related field.
- Experience working with youth and in the community sector.
- Significant experience in group facilitation and intervention with youth aged 14-18 and older youth 18-22.
- Clinical knowledge and understanding of behavioral challenges and mental health issues.
- Knowledge and understanding of intervention within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
- Excellent knowledge of French (spoken and written).
- Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written).
- Valid class 5 driver’s license (asset).
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification (asset).

- Technical knowledge in multimedia, photography, and writing.
- Comfortable using online platforms such as Google, Zoom, Canva, or social media, including but not limited to Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook.

Working Conditions:

- Full time: 35 hrs./ week
- Must be flexible during the day and evening.
- Salary: range of $44,000 to $46,640, commensurate with experience
- Includes a generous group insurance plan (health, dental, etc.)
- 10 days of vacation, plus an additional 10 days during which the office is closed during the winter holiday.
- 10 sick days and 2 personal days
- Must pass a police background check.

Pay: $44,000.00-$46,640.00 per year
