**The opportunity**:
**The qualifications and experience we’re looking for**:

- A Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field required.
- Master's degree in Archival studies or similar degree discipline preferred.
- A minimum of three years' experience working within an archive or related academic library experience required.
- Extensive experience providing training and support for users of open-source content management systems, including AtoM and Archivematica required.
- Extensive experience in data migration, arrangement and sorting of data, and database maintenance required.
- Extensive experience working with high volume data sets from diverse sources required.
- Extensive experience on data projects of highly sensitive, personal information required.
- Experience working on Indigenous community health projects with a focus on high volumes of data required.
- Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems required.
- Experience working with Survivors, Indigenous communities, and academic researchers regarding access to records and information required.
- Knowledge of Indigenous history in Canada, including residential school history required.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills required.
- Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize required.
- Demonstrates ability to train and supervise the work of others required.
- Demonstrates ability to maintain positive working relationships with IT departments and outside vendors required.
- Conscientious attention to detail is required.
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
- Ability to speak French or an Indigenous language would be an asset.
- Understanding of research engagement with Indigenous communities.
- Knowledge of University policies/procedures would be an asset.
