Production Coordinator

Concord, Canada Hydel Inc. Full time

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

Reporting to the Production Planning Manager, this position will oversee the entire production flow through the production department.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

The specific responsibilities of the Production Coordinator, while not limited to, include:
v Responsible for creating, entering, issuing, and closing work orders

v Cycle count materials and resolve discrepancies

v Follow Work Orders from start to finish, ensuring they stay on schedule

v Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to a production schedule

v Reviews master production schedule and work orders, establishes priorities for specific customer orders, and revises schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, material, machines, and equipment

v Ensure that drawings, programs and time sheets are attached to work orders

v Request CNC programs from Engineering if unavailable

v All completed work orders must be checked and signed off

v Assist Production Planning with day to day issues

v Continuous improvement of customer relationships, process workflow, decrease turnaround times

v Act as a backup for production roles as required

v Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

v College/Post-Secondary Graduate or equivalent

v Previous manufacturing experience required, preferably in Sheet Metal

v Well versed with MS office, excel in particular

v Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

v Fast learner and an innovative thinker

v Excellent scheduling and task management skills

v Results and detailed oriented

v Excellent computer skills - experience in MRP (Syspro) a definite asset

v Demonstrated project management experience and effective problem solving ability

v Demonstrated ability to liaise with both external and internal customers

v Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner

v Excellent communication and problem solving skills

v Team player with the ability to work independently

v Excellent organizational skills with the ability to enter data accurately

**Salary**: $48,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
