Position Description
The Department of Medicine is a leader in academic medicine, our educational and research missions support excellent and innovative clinical programs across our teaching hospitals. The JGH is one of McGill’s major teaching hospitals affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Canada’s internationally renowned McGill University, located in the vibrant and multicultural city of Montreal, in the province of Quebec.
The JGH Division of Dermatology is highly committed to the pursuit of excellence in clinical care, research and medical education. Its mission includes as a priority the strategic recruitment of outstanding sub-specialists committed to academic medicine and supporting the JGH’s mandate to provide high-quality patient-centered care. We are a group of clinicians who provide high quality patient-centered care with acute and chronic cutaneous inflammatory diseases and cutaneous malignancy including melanoma, lymphoma and non-melanoma skin cancer.

- Our career path definitions specify typical ranges of time allotted to clinical work, teaching (clinical and didactic), research and administration.
Clinical responsibilities will include a commitment to medical inpatient and consultation services (in-patient and emergency departments), as well as to outpatient ambulatory dermatology.
McGill faculty members are expected to contribute to service activities within their units, the University, and the wider scholarly community. A demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion is also expected.
Qualifications and Education Requirements- Hold an MD degree and must have completed subspecialty training in Dermatology;- Be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent) and be eligible for licensure in Quebec and certification by the Collège des médecins du Québec;- Have clinical expertise suited to tertiary hospital settings;- Have experience in training students, residents, and fellows in clinical settings;- Have successfully completed at least one additional year of clinical and /or research training;- Clinical and basic oncology research experience considered an asset;Faculty/Department/Unit: Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Department of Medicine, Division of Dermatology
