**SHORELINES CASINO THOUSAND ISLANDS HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR - FULL TIME (TIC-HR-001-2023)**

This position is responsible for delivering Human Resources services to a site, including coordinating employee requests and changes. Under the general supervision of the Manager, Human Resources this role provides administrative support while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures, and positively contributes to an entrepreneurial culture that is nimble, energized and growth oriented and lead by example. Above all else, must be aligned with, and promote, Shorelines Casinos culture and philosophy of creating a great, memorable experience for our guests and colleagues.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Acting as first line of support for Human Resources inquiries, monitors site and team member inquiries, ensuring that they are forwarded to the appropriate team member and follows up to ensure that responses are timely
- Facilitating team member onboarding, including but not limited to; preparing welcome packages and team member files, new team member data entry into the HRIS and updating new team member contact information
- Providing administrative support for the Company’s Recognition Program for team members and acting as the lead for the Selection Committee
- Complete bi-weekly payroll processing, liaise with Payroll and provide all applicable paperwork
- Accountable for preparing regular interval reporting on mandatory training requirements for staff at site level and providing to the site lead for review and execution.
- Participates in the implementation of the departmental strategic plans.
- Prepares internal correspondence as directed, draft team member announcements and other communications for review and distributing upon approval
- Manages and maintains lists of regulatory requirements
- Responds to employment verification requests
- Provides HR advice to employees and site managers; refers to the Manager, Human Resources when necessary
- Liaises with other locations on employee and file transfers
- Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Complies with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Contributes to a team of engaged colleagues who care passionately about the business, site operations, and delivering a great guest experience.
- Contributes toward workplace health, safety and wellness initiatives, and attend the JHSC meetings as an employer representative
- Anticipates operational and service issues before they escalate, trouble-shoots and resolves concerns before they are complaints.
- Preparing Letters of Employment
- Processing Human Resources paperwork and performing data entry activities and complete filing on a regular basis
- Maintaining Human Resources records and arranging for document storage and retrieval as needed
- Complying with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed

**Education and Qualifications**
- Post-Secondary education in HR or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional level role or a suitable combination of education and experience
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize with strong communication and organizational skills
- Flexible with good attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidential information
- Able to work independently and as part of a diverse team
- CHRP or other HR Designation an asset
- The ability to successfully obtain a Gaming Registration License through AGCO
- Working knowledge of ESA, OHSA, & WSIB
