**Responsibilities**:

- The primary function of this role is to support the Central region with the technical aspects of the NDT service line and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
- Support functions include interfacing directly with field technicians, Operations staff, Quality management, and Clientele, as applicable, to effectively establish and maintain regional programs, processes and practices; manage regional specific personnel qualifications and certifications; advise on equipment and emerging technologies; and provide review and mentoring for regional NDT technicians.- Client specific tasks that include but are not limited to procedure and technique development, client specific qualification and certification programs, equipment and instrumentation set-ups,- Client/regulator audits and follow-up, surveillance/audit/troubleshooting on the Client’s behalf, procedure demonstrations, consulting and record reviews- Direct responsibility for managing programs that include but are not limited to CSA W178.1/CSA W47.1, NAS-410 Qualification & Certifications, Nuclear Services- Maintain each program in collaboration with QHSE management in accordance with the current governing standard.
- Lead periodic and manage any audit corrective actions.
- Schedule and oversee periodic welder testing.
- Provide technical support to field techs as required.
- Develop and/or approve component specific procedures and techniques.
- Advise/troubleshoot/mentor as required
- Develop component specific NDT techniques for submission to Acuren’s Clients.

**Requirements**:

- CSA W178.1 as a Level 3 Weld Inspector
- Minimum one (ideally UT2) CGSB level 2 certifications in RT, MT, UT, PT or ET. Multiple certifications would be ideal
- Qualified to undertake in-house Level III examination in at least one method (MT, UT or ET) to the Acuren NAS-410 written practice.
- Solid understanding of the nuclear industry codes and standards and be able to professionally write instructional documents.
- Solid understanding of the lift equipment industry codes and standards and be able to professionally write instructional documents.
- Aircraft NDT experience to qualify to undertake the Transport Canada PRM examination would be an asset
- Excellent communications and interactional skills;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Excellent computer skills utilizing Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, etc.);
- Energetic, co-operative, collaborative and self-motivated interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to aggressively expand skill base to fulfill all aspects of the role.
