**WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT**

The Crew Supervisor at Northern Helm is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the management of all aspects of store operations. With experience in retail management, the Crew Supervisor supports the retail sales Crew of Cannabis Guides through hiring, developing, managing, motivating and training of staff. By partnering with the Store Manager to develop Northern Helm store culture, the Crew Supervisor is a role model of responsibility, initiative and excellent customer service. What’s more, they excel in environments where creative problem-solving helps overcome challenges, all in order to achieve key performance metrics. Essential to the role is their experience in managing inventory, motivating the retail sales team, managing time efficiently and effectively communicating needs to the Store Manager. They are committed to the long-term success of the store and developing the brand to improve lives through sustainable access to cannabis.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Meet sales goals through confident floor management skills, owning the day-to-day operations of the store
- Train, coach, motivate and mentor the Cannabis Guide Crew on product knowledge and retail sales techniques
- Support achievement of key sales targets and other business objectives
- Provide exceptional guest service; act as a role model to the Crew of Cannabis Guides
- Ensure a high quality guest experience is provided in every interaction
- Support with administrative tasks as required; ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
- Support Store Manager’s reporting on buying trends, customer needs, profits and other metrics, as required
- Communicate training needs to Store Manager based on performance observations
- Support resolution of all issues that arise from staff or guests, such as complaints or grievances
- Help with recruitment to fill people pipeline and always be on the lookout for amazing additions to the team
- Demonstrate strong time management and organization skills to keep priorities in focus
- Effectively communicate needs and ideas to the Store Manager in order to elevate the business
- Adhere to all federal, provincial and municipal legislative requirements of cannabis retailers
- Perform and complete additional projects, duties and assignments as required by the Store Manager
- Other duties as may be assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 2-4 years experience in retail management
- A leader with a proven ability to train others and retain talent
- Strong floor leadership and coaching skills to develop and motivate a retail sales team
- Proven ability to deliver positive guest experiences which build loyalty and deliver quantifiable results
- Ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Very strong verbal and written communication with excellent organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of the cannabis plant, recreational product offerings and safe consumption methods
- Passion for cannabis products and education
- Responsible, reliable, and guest-oriented

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum age 19 years old
- Able to lift boxes 5-35 lbs
- Must be willing to work shifts scheduled by company and comfortable with ever changing duties

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.50-$20.00 per hour
