Located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, we are experiencing rapid global growth. GIT is currently recruiting to fulfill this challenging HR role to further support the scale up of the Company.

**Position Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support the organization's goals and objectives.
- Partner with other departmental heads to identify and address HR-related challenges and opportunities.
- Identify and track key HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR strategies and programs.
- Manage the performance management process, including developing performance goals, providing coaching and feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring that they are properly trained and integrated into the organization.
- Develop and implement compensation and benefits programs that support the attraction and retention of top talent.
- Oversee compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations, including equal employment opportunity laws, wage and hour laws, and workplace safety regulations.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support the organization's goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement training and development programs that help employees develop their skills and abilities.
- Manage employee relations, including addressing employee complaints, conducting investigations, and resolving conflicts.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations, including those related to equal employment opportunity, wage and hour laws, and workplace safety.
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure that employee data is properly secured.
- Develop and manage the HR budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in human resources management, with a focus on strategic planning and execution.
- Experience with change management and organizational development initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
