Accounts Payable Coordinator

SUMMARY
The Accounts Payable Coordinator, under the direction of the Manager, Accounts Payable, will primarily be responsible to ensure that all suppliers’ invoices are properly authorized and coded, costs are as expected, taxes are properly calculated, and payment is issued to the vendor on a timely basis. They ensure the accurate and timely recording of accounts payable transaction by performing vendor reconciliations and communicating internally and externally to obtain accurate invoices for processing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process invoices and other accounts payable transactions in an accurate and timely manner
- Perform vendor statement reconciliations communicating with internal departments and vendors to ensure completeness and accuracy of account payable transactions
- Maintain accurate and complete supporting documentation for all activities including invoice and payment files
- Administer cheque/payment runs
- Track and maintain work status
- Responds to invoice and payment inquiries
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Degree or diploma in business, finance, accounting, or a related field
- Three - Five years of experience in accounts payable or related role preferred
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Basic knowledge of accounting systems, accounting transactions and internal controls
- Meticulous with numbers
- Ability to analyze and present numerical data in tables, spreadsheets, and forms
- Ability to read, understand, and calculate financial figures such as discounts, interest rates, proportions, percentages, and taxes
- Ability to work individually as well as a part of a team
**Salary**: $50,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
