The Career Centre is the source for career and employment information and expertise at the University of Alberta. We strive to empower U of A students, postdoctoral scholars and alumni from all faculties and programs to develop the skills, knowledge, experiences, and connections they need to confidently manage their careers. **Position summary**

Reporting to the Manager, Employer Relations, the Recruitment Coordinator works with new and existing employer clients, guiding and supporting them in engaging in recruitment activities at the University of Alberta. The Recruitment Coordinator vets employers, ensuring they are legitimate organizations who are interested in recruiting those working towards or holding a degree from the University of Alberta. The Recruitment Coordinator is often an employer’s first point of contact at the U of A. As such, the Recruitment Coordinator helps employers understand the U of A context and advises employers on effective recruitment from their target populations on campus. The Recruitment Coordinator refers employers to other programs and services within the Career Centre, as well as to other career service providers on campus, to ensure employers have a rewarding recruitment experience at the U of A.

The Recruitment Coordinator takes responsibility for the scheduling and coordination of upwards of five career fairs and between 50 and 100 employer information/briefing sessions per year. The Recruitment Coordinator also coordinates on-campus interviews and assists in the planning and implementation of other recruitment and networking events

**Duties**
- Gains and maintains expert knowledge on the Career Centre’s online platform, campusBRIDGE
- Vets employer requests to register on campusBRIDGE
- Reviews submitted job postings, career fair registrations, and other requests for service and makes decisions about which employers to approve or reject
- Schedules and coordinates upwards of five career fairs a year, between 50 and 100 employer information/briefing sessions, and on-campus interviews
- Collaborates with finance team to ensure billing is completed, refunds and adjustments are processed, billing issues are resolved, and overdue accounts are followed up on
- Consults with and solicits formal and informal feedback from stakeholders including employers, students/alumni, university departments/administration, and Career Centre staff; compiles feedback and statistics and shares appropriately
- Remains current on best practices in post-secondary recruitment and shares ideas and recommendations for improving services and procedures with team members
- Builds and maintains productive relationships with new and existing employers, assesses their recruitment needs and advises employers on recruitment strategies
- Refers employers to appropriate services within the Career Centre including recruitment services and networking and experiential learning activities that support the career development and employment of students and alumni
- Assists employers in navigating the Career Centre website, campusBRIDGE, registration processes and other processes required to engage in recruitment activities
