JOB PURPOSE

For Unilever to remain competitive in the future, the business needs to continue its path to become data intelligent. The Data and Analytics team is responsible for building data, data science and analytics as a core capability to help the business become data intelligent and drive business and organization performance. The team will deliver advanced products at scale and work closely with the market teams to ensure that decisions in Unilever are augmented with insight & recommendations wherever possible.

There are five major themes to the Data and Analytics strategy:

- Winning disproportionately in Market. We believe that the best way to move the needle for Unilever in Analytics is to work with leading geographies to create analytics products that make a significant impact on our business
- Drive Unilever to assisted and predictive decision-making. The future is about assisted decision-making with machines (AI/Cognitive Computing/Machine Learning) unlocking the insights from vast deluge of consumer, customer & internal data, and presenting this in a way that is simple for our teams.
- Make data a true asset. Better data and data science access for every part of Unilever, across the 3 data framework (Connectivity, Growth, Continuous Improvement) and leading through the Enterprise Data Executive.
- World-class Data: One Version of the Facts. Continued excellence in delivery of diagnostics and insights to focus attention when and where it matters with a focus on Big BUniOps, Strategic Initiatives and Leadership team reporting

This is an exciting new role in the
_Data & Analytics_, which is tasked to deliver maximum value from data to drive business and organization performance.

The UNIOPS D&A CD Analytics Product group helps the global Unilever CD business win with data, data science, and analytics in a way that leverages the close engagement/ relationship with CD leadership supported by a data science hub team so that they can solve for both large transformation programs and near term business problems.

Expected Work

This role will focus on leading a multi-functional team to develop and deploy, the algorithmic powered solution, Trade Promotion Analytics (TPA) into Unilever markets. TPA is intended to help the business make more effective decisions in the in the areas of Net Revenue Management (NRM) and Promotion planning within the iOPS program. The role will be expected to blend the expertise of Product Management, Business Consultancy, Data Analysis and Business Intelligence to design, develop and govern the solutions. These prototypes if successful will be expected to be scaled where the BA will be expected to partner technical teams and cover the key aspects of data required to deliver information and analytics capabilities for Customer Development teams.

The role has three main accountabilities:

- Lead market engagement, requirements gathering and design by translate business requirements into analytics requirements and developing working prototypes of analytics solutions that can be added as a module or evolve certain module of the core TPA product.
- Contribute to the design of global TPA product roadmap incorporating market nuances.
- Work with multiple internal and external teams to develop and deploy TPA into various markets as identified by iOPS roadmap

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with senior leaders (WL3/4+) to comprehend business problems and design needs, and deliver exceptional analytical solutions to address Unilever's trade spend problems.
- Lead a team of 20+ individuals, including 3PP teams, in delivering solutions across multiple global locations.
- Develop the product roadmap to ensure that the TPA platform continues to meet evolving business needs, keeping the plan fresh 12-24 months out. Accountable for innovating at least 1-2 new data and analytic methodologies driven by global needs.
- Support the annual analytic and data plan with sufficient funding from the market and ITIB (if innovation).
- Govern on-time and in-full delivery of all deployments and global rollouts of the product according to the rollout plan and delivery of the budget (ensuring no over-underspends).
- Support change management (ways of working to land capabilities on the ground) by partnering with the iOPS CD change management team, as required, to ensure product landing.
- Ensure the career development of direct reports and the talent pipeline into the product or cluster teams.
- Lead the adoption of pricing products across countries with simple, intuitive, and interactive UI/UX.
- Support TPx Program Management along with PMO and other product and project managers in the program
