Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

**Position Summary**: Under the day to day direction of the CPSP Executive Implementation Lead, the incumbent is assigned to work with the capital project working groups, Logistics, Materials Management, and Clinical Engineering Departments to validate the selection and procurement of various furnishings and medical equipment to be located within Southern Health-Santé Sud’s capital projects. The position is to provide guidance to the clinical and support users and ensure their needs and requirements are properly transmitted to the capital team and that the completed design as it relates to medical equipment is in conformity with those needs and standards.

The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.

**Qualifications**:

- Complete post-secondary education, undergraduate or graduate degree in Materials Management, Biomedical Technology, Clinical Engineering, Digital Technologies or a health care professional program.
- A background in project management as well as a formal PMP designation is a definite asset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- One or more of the following courses considered an asset: project management, time management, oral and written technical reporting.
- Ability to interpret spreadsheets and produce concise and logical oral and written reports.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a professional capacity with demonstrated excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Familiarity with the construction industry and the health care environment would be assets.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and adhere to timelines.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated computer literacy in software programs.
- Demonstrated organizational, decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under pressure.
- Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population is required
- Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions
- Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job
- Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums
- Good work and attendance record

**Conditions of Employment**:

- Completes and maintains a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.
- All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with Southern Health-Santé Sud policy.
- Requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, an all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00
