Administrative Full-time New Position

The Business Solutions Lead is accountable for working directly with business areas across the College to establish strong partnerships with the Information Technology & Systems (IT&S) and Data & Analytics departments to develop and maintain a detailed understanding of processes and procedures related to the use of supporting technology and solutions as they relate to data, business intelligence, process automation, analytics, etc. The incumbent provides support to the request for new and/or expanded systems and technology-based solutions, and in a lead capacity, participates in and provides oversight of technology project delivery initiatives with a focus on maintaining scope and supporting the team’s focus on rapid, quality completion of deliverables under a Scrum/Agile methodology.

**Responsibilities**:

- Builds and maintains partnership-model relationships between the Data & Analytics department and the various lines of business across the College in order to provide support and continuously identify strategic opportunities for the design, development, and implementation of new or enhancements to existing solutions
- Manages Centres of Excellence (CoEs), through the coordination of activities including the establishment of working groups and Communities of Practice (CoPs) supporting various initiatives with an interest/objective of bringing together disparate groups across the College to establish governance standards, common practice and peer-based user support
- Promotes excellence in quality and customer service by interacting with stakeholders and maintaining an active presence to influence direction, collaborate ideas, develop product roadmaps, and identify effective approaches
- Contributes to change management efforts and supports business users through changes in process/procedure and the impact of use of technology associated with the implementation of new or replacement technologies
- Contributes to the prioritization of project work including development, configuration and testing of technology solutions ensuring the timely design, delivery, and ongoing support
- Leads the development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Prepares business case summaries with value and due diligence assessments and presents to IT Steering Committee for approval, including related risk and ROI assessments
- Collaborates with members within IT&S to develop RFPs, procure vendor solutions, and implement new technologies
- Chairs regular meetings to ensure team members are aware of current developments and able to provide feedback, when appropriate
- Leverages methodologies to ensure solutions maintain data integrity, risk-management, security and privacy requirements
- Works with IT&S Leadership providing accurate documentation and reporting on the monitoring of planned and/or implemented technology solutions across new projects and existing foundational and supporting technology platform components
- Provides continued support across IT&S, business value work streams and the College in the use of standardized Agile/SCRUM methodologies and project implementation practices
- Captures a detailed understanding of business objectives and processes to support an accurate definition of scope, pertaining to technology intake/requests and as part of the initial stages of project proposals
- Leads the analysis of complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers, including the identification and interpretation of trends to identify and locate root causes
- Ensures assessment of requirements against availability, risk management and governance to determine the right delivery approach/implementation and ensuring timeline and delivery commitments are tightly managed and aligned with reporting or project deliverables
- Provides guidance to team members in leveraging a structured approach to the testing, troubleshooting and deployment of reliable tools and solutions through the use of templates and the definition of standardized processes
- Coordinates with product owners and business stakeholders to conduct quality assurance assessments and the completion of user acceptance testing

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum two-year Diploma in a technology related field is required
- Certifications in Project Management, ITSM, Scrum, Agile, Business Analysis, Product Ownership, or platform support such as Microsoft Azure, Synapse, Cloud, Data, Analytics, Business Intelligence, etc. is considered an asset
