**Role Overview**

CMHA, Halton Region (CMHA Halton) is seeking a full-time Manager of Crisis Services. This is an integral role that is responsible for providing oversight to the following crisis programs: Community Outreach and Stabilization Team (COAST), Crisis Outreach and the national 9-8-8 Crisis/Suicide Prevention Line. We are seeking an experienced leader to transform the way people in crisis access support for suicide prevention and during times of emotional distress.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**a) **_Strategic Leadership_**
- Bring a strategic lens and thought leadership to pressing service design issues required to build a continuum of crisis care in community-based mental health. Your approach is motivated by a need to create equitable health access that _removes barriers to care_, informed by the input of clients with lived experience, and adaptive of an ongoing service environment that is both virtual & in-person
- Represent CMHA Halton at regional crisis tables to drive the sector forward with key sectors, such as, justice, hospital and primary care
- Conduct ongoing environmental scans for opportunities or risks to CMHA Halton’s crisis programs, and strategize how to respond or mitigate, respectively.
- Guide the delivery of our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Access (DEIA) strategy across all crisis programs and services

**_ b) Service/Program Delivery_**
- Support the planning, implementation and delivery of all objectives and deliverables
- Manage day-to-day operations in conjunction with the Crisis Team Lead across crisis programs through daily team reporting and crisis care meetings
- Ensure the delivery of services in accordance with the mandated, funded, legislated and accredited standards
- Implement best-practices and evidence-based standards as it applies to the continuum of crisis intervention and outreach management in mental health and addictions
- Work with the Finance department to be accountable for and understand the budgeting processes in order to meet Ministry and funding requirements for crisis service mandates.
- Provide consultation in decision making and problem-solving regarding clients with complex mental health presentations in the community and help triage needs
- Monitor and review outcomes targets across all respective crisis programs and services

- Committed to maintaining an optimistic, strength-based approach with respect to those we serve, partner organizations, and colleagues
- Bring an understanding in relevant best practices in clinical service provision, client service delivery approaches and crisis program design.
- Ensure regular feedback is provided to all team members in areas of triage, risk assessment, crisis intervention documentation and report writing
- Lead the design of new staff orientation, training and coaching in collaboration with the Director of Services and the Crisis Team lead.
