As part of our Project Management Office, the IT Project Manager is accountable for ensuring that projects of all sizes are completed in line with the team’s budget and timeline as well as aligning with organizational strategies. You’ll use your expertise in project management methodology to make recommendations for continuous improvements on all project plans and business process improvements while working to educate the organization and key stake holders on project management best practices.

**A day in the life of an IT Project Manager**:

- **Project Management**: strong understanding of project management methodologies, including PMP, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and others. Experience in creating and managing project plans, timelines, budgets, risks, and resources.
- **Leadership**: lead project teams, motivate and inspire them to meet project goals and objectives. Excellent communication skills to effectively delegate tasks, resolve conflicts, and provide guidance and feedback to team members.
- **Technical Knowledge**: good understanding of the technical aspects of the projects they are managing. This includes knowledge of industry-specific software, equipment, and tools.
- **Stakeholder Management**: work closely with stakeholders, strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with them and manage their expectations.
- **Analytical and Problem-Solving**: be able to analyze and solve problems that arise during project execution. Be able to identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
- **Time Management**: excellent time management skills to ensure that projects are completed within deadlines and budgets.
- Business Acumen: develop quick and good understanding of the business operations of Wurth Canada, including its vision, goals, objectives, and strategy. This will help to align projects with the company's overall vision.
- **Resource Allocation**: You will be responsible for allocating the necessary resources (e.g. personnel, equipment, materials) to each project based on its requirements.
- **Risk Management**: You will need to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. This involves regularly assessing project risks and developing contingency plans to minimize their impact.
- **Budget Management**: You will need to manage the project budget, ensuring that each project is completed within the allocated budget.
- **Reporting**: You will be responsible for preparing regular reports on project progress and presenting these to senior management.
- **Training**: You will need to provide training and support to project members within the organization, ensuring that they adhere to the PMO's standards and best practices.

Overall, your role as a project manager representing the PMO is critical in ensuring that the organization achieves its strategic objectives through effective project management.

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Minimum of 5 years of Project Management related experience with your PMP Designation
- Comprehensive understanding of PMP, Software Development & Lifecycle, and Agile Methodology, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall as you will be the liaison between Organizational Requirements and I.T. design and capacity.
- Experience with projects such as E-Commerce, ERP Migrations and Integration of Customer Applications
- Utilize excellent communication skills to ensure stakeholder engagement while driving projects end to end in an audience-friendly manner
