VIDA is seeking a full time Accounts Receivable Coordinator to help us achieve our ambitious growth objectives by managing high volume receivable processes and driving timely collections through proactive communications.

**The Role**

As the Accounts Receivable Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

- Tracking, reporting, and collection of receivables
- Make proactive phone calls to customers to collect outstanding amounts.
- Provide excellent customer service to tenants by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to their accounts.
- Understand applicable Residential Tenancy Acts and their enforcement mechanisms
- Ensure lease compliance with applicable residential tenancy acts
- File with the Residential Tenancy Dispute board and attend hearings when needed
- Occasional travel within HRM to attend hearings, file Sheriff orders, etc.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of tenant information, lease agreements, and communication history
- Actively manage rental charges and other revenue streams to ensure changes are captured and accurately reflected in our financial records
- Reconcile tenant accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all transactions.
- Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable status to the finance team and management.
- Assist in the analysis of financial data related to accounts receivable.

- Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role.
- Knowledge of Residential Tenancies Act (especially in NS, NB, PE, MB)
- Aptitude for technology, including experience with the following programs: Outlook, Excel, Word, Sage, and property management software (ex Yardi)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

- Ability to focus & meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast paced environment
