We are looking for a qualified electronics instrumentation technician/technologist with a Bachelors or a bona fide Diploma from a reputable College in Ontario. ANY LESS, DO NOT APPLY
Expertise is required in fine soldering at component level and in small machine jobs such as working on steel and aluminium on a lathe. Extensive use of metal and plastic materials, lathe and other power tools, Attention to detail is paramount, as is a desire to produce the best possible results while respecting deadline. We need someone who is quick on their feet, who can learn troubleshooting and are comfortable with some computer and software work. Our products are a mix of electronics and mechanical content: geotechnical instruments with very high quality standard.
Excellent Procurement system in place to ensure seamless operation and Production Manager will liaise with Procurement Manager. Might also liaise with Design Engineer.
About You: You are a QUALIFIED Technician with demonstrated ability in using basic manual and power tools and can operate assembly machinery. You demonstrate excellent knowledge of instrumentation electronics, transducers types and will be quizzed on it. You have superior manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude, and proven skill with intricate hand work in particular board level soldering. You will be tested on this. You are able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and can withstand continuous standing and frequent walking, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, reaching and repetitive movement.
