The payroll specialist will work closely with Human Resources in the processing of payroll and benefits administration.

**Tasks and responsibilities**
- Prepare weekly pay for approximately 400 employees (unionized and non-unionized);
- Prepare Bi-Weekly US Payroll (salary and commission employees)
- Verify employees' time sheets with supervisors in the Leadtec System and make changes if required;
- Performs various payroll analyzes (costing, WEPPA, etc.);
- Participate in the end-of-month and end-of-year process;
- Create, modify and terminate employees in the payroll system and Leadtec (production system);
- Make changes to employee profiles (vacations, salary adjustments, etc.);
- Monitor and maintain vacation banks and sick days
- Answer questions and requests related to pay, leaves and benefits;
- Participate in the organization of special events;
- Support to the human resources team in various administrative tasks.

**Required skills and experience**
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in a payroll/benefit department
- Experience in both union and non-union environment.
- Knowledge of Desjardins payroll system preferred.
- Excellent Knowledge of Office Suite, mainly advanced Excel (pivot tables and v-lookup), Word and Outlook
- Excellent knowledge of applicable provincial and Canadian government regulations in payroll management
- Member of the Canadian Payroll Association (is considered an asset
- Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure while respecting deadlines
- Strong organizational skills, analytical skills, rigor and fast worker
- Bilingual (French / English)

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
