Service Production Planner

MAJOR DUTIES:
The Service Scheduler on the After Sales and Service team will be responsible for scheduling the deployment of technical resources for the execution of service projects within the Cambridge Life Sciences Division. This role requires working closely with project managers and ATS service divisions (GS,NASC,sWN,PA) as well as local shop managers. Additionally, this position will also work closely with the Service Solutions Manager in order to prepare forecasted activity planning and allocate their resources to meet all project deliverables.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule the technical field service resources to staff service projects to meet schedules within budget.
- Create and manage the resource schedule and loading for all projects.
- Support the creation of service project schedules.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, functional managers, other ATS divisions, and Global Services to ensure that the right resources are provided to fulfill resource requests.
- Maintain visibility of the work in progress so that accurate delivery dates can be predicted.
- Utilize the Oracle system to schedule and support the distribution of project information to assigned.
- Utilizing the budgeted (benchmark) labour hours, predict/plan manpower requirements by job classification and identify capacity constraints.
- Ensure raw material and components are in supply to meet production requirements with adequate lead time (Spare Assemblies) Leverage JDE reports to ensure materials on hand.
- Run the weekly production meeting, preparing the discussion document, outlining issues and constraints to inform the Project Managers
- Communicate any scheduling shortfalls to the Project Management Team.
- Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
- Adhere to health and safety policies and practices

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:
A post-secondary diploma or degree specializing in technology, engineering or equivalent. Project coordination and/or Project Management experience is an asset.
**Experience**:
- 3-5 years’ experience in service and/or project management and/or resource coordination in the automation industry.
- Strong background/education in lean process, procedure, and manufacturing practice.
- Driven continuous improvement mentality and experience with conducting problem-solving exercises, root cause analysis and success implementation of initiatives.
- Fluent in English, written and oral.
- Possesses excellent time management skills and is able to co-ordinate multiple projects.
- Resilient, calm under pressure, self-driven, attentive to detail, consistent, and process driven.
- Proficient with Microsoft software tools including Word, Excel and Power Point, etc.
