**Job Scope**:
The Production Planner/Scheduler reports to the Production Manager and collaborates with the Operations and Supply Chain teams to provide detailed schedules for Grober Nutrition Operations that drive efficiency and ensure that customer expectations are met.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Plan and prepare production for the manufacture of products by SKU
- Utilize production specifications and plant capacity data to plan required production volumes while maximizing efficiencies in the plant
- Create and manage detailed schedules of the plant and ensure that equipment is planned efficiently
- Communicate variances to plan, report out attainment to schedule
- Aid the operations team in continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling, capacity and packaging procurement
- Order raw materials and manage dry goods inventories
- Provide vacation coverage for order desk providing exceptional customer service

**Qualifications & Competencies**:

- Post-secondary education
- American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification is an asset
- Experience in a food processing environment - knowledge of shelf life constraints, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in production control, planning, inventory control and/or materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Supply Chain concepts; safety stock planning, Material Requirements Planning (MRP) calculations, scheduling constraints and bottlenecks, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and impact others
- Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent experience an asset
- Manage transfers of raw material and dry goods inventories from third party locations to manufacturing site
- Ensure optimal customer service levels and plant conformance levels by effectively scheduling production and analyzing root causes of conformance shortfalls for future prevention
