Accounting and Payroll Manager

We are seeking a full-time Accounting & Payroll Manager to join our fast-growing, dynamic team.

The Accounting, & Payroll Manager supports company operations by maintaining and managing accounting, processing payroll, and performing administrative tasks.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Manage all aspects of accounting including day-to-day transactions, AP, AR, month ends, GL entries, government remittances, and year-end requirements
- Process payroll for all company employees on a bi-weekly schedule, ensure accuracy and confidentiality of information
- Keep all company financial and personnel files and documents confidential and secure
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Performing full-cycle accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Processing payroll and employee benefits
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable and financial reporting
- Compiling and submitting necessary financials for year-end audits
- Implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity
- Lead month-end closing processes
- CRA reporting and submissions
- WCB yearly return and review
- Stay informed of accounting standards, regulations, and industry developments to ensure adherence to best practices and legal requirements
- Other accounting and payroll responsibilities as needed
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience in ADP and QuickBooks accounting software is considered an asset.
- Proven experience in accounting, management, benefits administration, audit, managing processes, reporting research results
- Proven experience in construction accounting, including familiarity with work in progress, progress invoices, holdbacks, and lien legislation
- Corporate finance, developing budgets, strong attention to detail, general math skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent is considered an asset
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in payroll and accounting role
- Proven ability to work constructively and collaboratively with all staff, customers, and vendors
- Resourceful and self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
