Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Clerk - Payroll & AP supports Finance operations by **performing a range of payroll, accounts payable, accounting and general administrative support tasks** in a high volume / fast paced environment.

A typical day includes:

- Reconcile and report all daily time entry ensuring completeness and accuracy following up with staff and managers as required
- Process bi-weekly payroll coordinating the submission of time entry to our 3rd party payroll provider
- Facilitate company benefits program including but not limited to setting up new employees, completing changes, performing reconciliations and analytics
- Perform bank reconciliations and required journal entries
- Perform accounts payable task sharing functions including purchase orders, receiving, inventory transfers, processing and paying invoices, monthly government tax calculations and remittances.
- Vacation coverage to AP team member including completion of daily cash reports in a timely manner, creation of weekly cash preview reports, assist in the weekly cash forecasting process and preparation of weekly pay run and release
- Provide admin support vacation coverage to Business Coordinator as required
- Provide periodic support for AR team on as needed basis including collections & AR inbox responses.

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A proven aptitude for working with numbers and the ability to interpret financial information
- 3+ years previous Payroll and Accounts Payable experience
- Strong MS Office and other computerized financial software skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Professional, thorough and efficient communicator
- Detail and process oriented with a high degree of accuracy
- Proven organizational abilities to prioritize tasks and handle changing work priorities
- Ability and willingness to switch between tasks while maintaining productivity and focus
- Take initiative to identify and address issues or opportunities, solve problems and address conflict
- Ability to find resources, information, or support when faced with unfamiliar or challenging tasks.
