Production Team Lead

Norwood Sawmills is a global leader in portable sawmills and is looking for an energetic, motivated Production Team Leader to join the team Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will guide the Production Team in procedures to ensure a smooth and safe operation, forecast production schedules and adjusting workflows to maximize the production process.
**What you bring to the team**:
- 2+ years of experience in a Team Lead position.
- You hold a valid Forklift and Raymond Reach License.
- Understanding and strong knowledge of production processes and techniques.
- You have exceptional communication skills, ability to understand direction from the Manager and communicated it effectively to the team.
- Proficiency in production-related software including NetSuite.

**A typical day for the Production Team Lead**:
- Oversee and guide Production Team while being hands-on in production process, ensuring it runs smoothly and effectively.
- Provide clear, precise, and timely direction on;
- Assembly building
- Executing final stage of assembly process
- Packaging of sawmill parts
- Communicate with the Material Handlers to ensure product is picked and placed on the line ahead of when needed. Ensure consistent flow in and out of production lines with mínimal downtime.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members and monitor their performance.
- Maintain and provide updates to Production Manager on stock levels of inventory.
- Conduct morning meetings to keep team members informed with safety talks, daily department goals, Health & Safety, and Company updates.
- Identify training opportunities within the department for the Production Associates.
