**Job Title**: Legal Affairs Administrator
**Location**: Toronto or Malta (Hybrid)
**Job Purpose**:
Pinnacle is a leading online bookmaker with a long history of changing the landscape of the sports betting and gaming industry through its integrity, high level of customer satisfaction, and revered risk management. Pinnacle is seeking to expand its team to welcome a Legal Affairs Administrator.
The Legal Affairs Administrator shall be responsible for administrative support of the Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance teams related to Pinnacle’s global betting and gaming business. This role is part of the Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance Team, reporting to the executive Group Counsel, and will support the Group Counsel and the senior management of the Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance team.
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Support and assist a team of lawyers and compliance professionals with diverse backgrounds from different time zones with administrative and operational demands of the team to include, without limitation, contract administration and management, routing DocuSign requests internally and externally, corporate secretarial affairs, policy management and maintenance, and corporate governance-related organization.
- Organize and maintain filing and tracking systems and databases, including commercial and vendor contracts, business and jurisdictional risk assessments, corporate resolutions and minutes, dispute and settlement registers, policy versioning, and regulatory reporting tracking.
- Acting as the liaison between Pinnacle and its registered agents, local representatives, and proxyholders in the Caribbean and EU; maintaining up to date corporate organizational documents (such as memoranda of associations, beneficial ownership, share and director registers, annual returns, and business registration); and processing notarizations, apostilles, certifications, and other authentications as needed.
- Implement and maintain the team’s new contract lifecycle management system.
- Assist with implementation and maintenance of the team’s programs and vendors, and preparing reports and communications in support of the team’s senior management on the same, including project management as needed.
- Supporting processes and procedures of the Legal and Regulatory, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure operational efficiency to promote the team’s timely and effective service delivery.
- Assisting with corporate due diligence, audit, and regulatory disclosures in Ontario, Malta, Sweden, and other territories
- Assist with external counsel and advisor management, including engagement and invoice management.
- Coordinate with other teams as needed to support the legal affairs of the Pinnacle Group, including Finance, People, Operations, and IT.
- Any other tasks as it may be required from time to time to ensure the efficient and effective service of the Legal, Regulatory and Compliance team to support the business.
**Skills and Experience**:
- Minimum two (2) years' post-qualification administrative experience working in a legal assistant, paralegal, or legal analyst capacity; in-house experience is preferred; multi-jurisdictional and/or international business experience is preferred.
- Ability to work with sensitive, confidential, and proprietary material while maintaining the utmost confidentiality and discretion
- Highly motivated and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a multi-cultural environment.
- Possesses excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; detail oriented, highly organized, timely, and accurate.
- Fluent English speaker. Additional language skills such as Swedish, Spanish, or Mandarin an advantage
- Sound business and administration judgement.
- Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and highly regulated industry under pressure with a progressive and dynamic in-house Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance department.
