QA Inspector, Pressure Vessels

Fil-Trek Corporation is a leading manufacturer of industrial filtration equipment for customers around the globe. Our products are designed and manufactured at our Cambridge, ON facility.
We are currently recruiting for a QA Inspector, Pressure Vessels & Piping to join our team.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsible for inspecting welds on completed vessels/piping along with final assembly of mechanical equipment.
- Verify vessels/piping conforms to customer drawings and requirements.
- Review and accept materials to ASME Section VIII Div. 2.
- Reviewing drawings and vessels to ensure they meet legislative code requirements.
- Complete and organize all the necessary quality control documents.
- Create welding procedures (PQR/WPS) and identify welder qualifications.
- Liaise with customers when they come in to inspect their orders.
- Remove defective items from production, designating reason for removal.
- Report defects to the appropriate manager.
- Perform internal QA audits that are compliant with corporate policies, practices, and procedures.
- Assist with the maintenance of QA monitoring programs, including audits, controls, and other qualifiers.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of industry standards and practices.
- Wage is based on experience.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-Secondary Education in a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of direct work experience with QA systems, regulations, guidelines, and associated standards.
- Direct knowledge of Boiler and Pressure Vessel QA methodologies.
- Practical experience with risk management, product testing, capability studies, and control plans
- Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Extremely detail-oriented and analytical thinker.
- Able to interface directly with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to create and review technical documentation, including project plans, test procedures, and design documents.
- Able to develop, review, and maintain metrics and quality audits.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
