We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead to join our team in Cambridge, ON.

Job Overview

BWXT Canada Ltd. is a leading provider of nuclear power generation equipment and medical isotopes. As a Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of welding engineers and technical specialists in the manufacturing process.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in a fast-paced heavy manufacturing environment, with expertise in ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code specifically. A Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.

The salary range for this position is between $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of welding engineers and technical specialists in the manufacturing process
  • Prepare and maintain shop documentation (PQR, WPS) conforming to Quality system and customer specification requirements
  • Audit and resolve non-conforming conditions that affect the product
  • Schedule and coordinate projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget
  • Maintain data base of welding equipment, consumables and approvals
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or an appropriate discipline
  • Higher level degree (masters, PhD) considered an asset
  • 15+ years of experience in a fast-paced heavy manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the Nuclear industry, and ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code specifically
  • Knowledge and demonstrated application of Statistical Process Control tools and principles
