Your challenge

Your profile:
- Combination of education and experience equivalent to a university degree plus three (3) years’ practical, relevant experience, or a college diploma and five (5) years’ practical, relevant experience- Comfortable and dynamic on-air presence- Strong interviewing skills- Ability to handle complex stories and explain them on air- Ability to generate original story ideas and creative treatments- Ability to write clearly and concisely- Experience preparing and delivering reports- Basic shooting and editing skills (more advanced technical training will be provided at a later date; you do not have to be a technical expert)- Basic sound and lighting skills- Ability to operate a camera and use a portable editing table- Ability to film with a smartphone and create videos in vertical format- Good knowledge of newsroom operations and editorial practices- Knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada’s mandate and Journalistic Standards and Practices- Solid command of French and good knowledge of English- Valid driver’s licence- Proven ability to learn the latest technologies, especially camera and editing equipment- Resourcefulness and initiative- Interpersonal and communication skills- Ability to plan, organize and co-ordinate your day-to-day work so as to meet tight deadlines
