**Hourly Wage**:$75,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year. This is a benefited position after three months probationary period is passed. Benefits include, RSP contributions, Self Care hour, Medical and Dental.

Position Brief: Reporting to the Society’s Program Director, the Second Stage Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations, safety and site maintenance of Second Stage Housing, as well as the recruitment, training, supervision, and assessment of all program staff, including volunteers, practicum students, etc., in accordance with the Society’s policies and in alignment with the philosophies and values of Cowichan Women Against Violence Society. This program operates on a 24/7 basis. This position requires on-call, some evening and weekend work will also be required.

**Job Description: Second Stage Program Manager**

The Second Stage Program Manager (SSPM) oversees the day-to-day operations of the building and manages the Second Stage Housing. The SSPM provides leadership, support, and supervision to a wide variety of staff and clients. The SSPM ensures all service delivery obligations are fulfilled and supports the implementation of the CWAV vision.

**Leadership**:

- Holds the highest level of accountability for the Second Stage Housing Program.
- Promotes a leadership practice that reflects feminist principles that include values of:

- Shared, appropriately exercised leadership
- Equality, equity and an analysis of power
- Collaborative decision-making
- Transparency and confidentiality
- Establishes and maintains a strong team-based approach with the staff. Develops and motivates staff to attain program service responsibilities. Builds an engaged and employee-centric culture.
- Develops anti-racism practices and builds inclusion, equity and diversity.
- Incorporates trauma informed practices in all aspects of the work.
- Participates on committees as relevant to position and as requested.
- Works proactively with CWAVS personnel to create and maintain a positive work environment.

**Program Management & Staff Supervision**:

- Participates on the Management Steering Committee, representing program perspectives, sharing, and inviting information flow with program staff. Participates in strategic planning to support CWAVS’ growth and development.
- Participates on the Housing Committee to ensure internal communication is consistent and shared where appropriate.
- Submits Quarterly Board Reports to the Executive Director.
- Promotes community engagement and awareness. Partners and networks with other agencies and community stakeholders as required.
- In collaboration with the PD, participates in internal HR strategic planning including mentoring and orientation. Identifies and promotes ongoing learning opportunities, including staff development needs, collaboration opportunities, and growth plan/supervision processes.

- Human Resources matters
- Succession Planning and Cross-training
- Plans and facilitates team meetings.
- Is a go-to amongst staff for all complex client and/or staff situations.

- Collaborates strongly with the Community Health Leader to integrate meaningful client care into the program.
- Ensures the cleanliness, safety, security and maintenance of the residence in accordance with licensing standards through delegation of staff.
- The organization, management, development, and delivery of quality client services for the 24 hours helpline, Transition House, and Second Stage housing.
- Ensuring that service practices reflect trauma-informed and anti-oppression principles and philosophies
- Collaboratively identifying ways to improve services to ensure women-centred, safe, caring, inclusive and supportive environment for women and children accessing services.
- Monitoring and maintaining documentation with respect to staff performance expectations and goals ensuring Transition House team is demonstrating trauma-informed and intersectional practices and completing probationary and annual performance reviews
- Participating in budgeting and monitoring program expenses
