**Responsibilities**:
**Provide Strategic Insights**: Support decision making and facilitate strategic planning across the ministry by analyzing data and preparing insights. Focus on predictive analytics, lifetime value, and needs-based strategies to drive measurable value.

**Create Meaningful Analytics**: Transform data from various teams into meaningful analytics for decision-making, focusing on quality, robustness, and repeatability of delivery processes.

**Develop Custom Reporting and Dashboards**: Design and create tailored dashboards and reports using various data sources and inputs, reflecting both quantitative and qualitative insights.

**Measure Project Success**: Develop and track success metrics for key initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

**Multi-Vendor/Staff Environment Collaboration**: Work effectively within a complex multi-vendor/staff environment, ensuring seamless communication and integration.

**Risk and Issue Management**: Establish and operate control processes, escalating issues and risks as appropriate, including schedule management, status reporting, and change management at the program level.

**Client Interaction**: Gather and document client requirements, design and construct information products, and capture business and technical metadata.

**Mandatory Skills and Qualifications for Data Analyst**:

- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Query Language, T-SQL, and Microsoft SQL Server Database (minimum 5 years of experience).
- Proficiency in Microsoft BI Stack - SSIS, SSRS is required (minimum 5 years of experience).
- Demonstrated experience in Power BI is required (minimum 5 years of experience).
- A good understanding of data quality management concepts is required (minimum 5 years of experience).
- Demonstrated experience as a Data Analyst, with a focus on analyzing and implementing data migration activities, is required (minimum 2 years of experience).

**Desired Skills and Qualifications for Data Analyst**:

- Demonstrated experience with Oracle database SQL development is an asset (minimum 3 years of experience).
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure Data Platform is desired (minimum 3 years of experience).
- Knowledge of master data management and data governance concepts is desired (minimum 3 years of experience).
- Ability to learn quickly, problem-solve/troubleshoot, and work independently as well as in a team is desired (minimum 3 years of experience).
- Demonstrated experience in SAP Implementation/Support is desired (minimum 3 years of experience).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, are desired (minimum 3 years of experience).
- Good time management skills are required, particularly the ability to produce expected deliverables within tight project timelines (minimum 3 years of experience).
- Knowledge and experience through the Systems Development Life Cycle are desired (minimum 3 years of experience).

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 18 months

**Salary**: $40.00-$60.00 per hour

- St. Albert, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
