**Compensation**: $17.50/hr

**Academic Year Hours**: 10-15 hours per week

The HOEM Content Curator is responsible for creating and maintaining student engagement through our social media channels. This includes keeping our social media on brand, creating videos, posts and stories that will attract students to our Instagram and TikTok. The person who fills this role must be energetic, creative and have a passion for social media. The HOEM Content Curator will report directly to the Student Life Manager and Student Experience Manager. It is mandatory that the HOEM Content Curator live at HOEM during the academic year.

Your Duties

**Social media content**: Creating and posting content on the HOEM Instagram, Facebook and TikTok accounts to keep HOEMies engaged and informed We want you to implement the strategy behind our social channels

**Social Squad**: Leading the HOEM Social Squad, conducing bi-weekly Social Squad meetings, coordinating their Instagram take overs, reels and TikToks for release on a weekly basis.

**Recruitment Events**: When we’re showing off HOEM to prospective students we’ll need your help to showcase the building, our community and all the other fun things that happen here Specific recruitment dates will be communicated to you directly once scheduled.

**Weekly newsletters**: Creation and distribution of weekly newsletters to inform HOEMies of important news and updates.

**Other duties as assigned**: there may be times when the Student Life and Student Experience Managers require assistance that is within your scope of work. These include but are not limited to coordinating social media giveaways, attending events assisting HOEM Team members with social media promotions.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience with social media promotions and engagement;
- Excellent knowledge on Instagram and TikTok with the ability to stay on trend;
- Ability to demonstrate outgoing leadership qualities;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Experience working with video files is an asset;
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills;
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and as part of a team;
- Friendly, approachable, and personable;
- Skilled at graphic design using Adobe suite or other comparable software;
- Maintain student status throughout term of employment;
- Be super fun to work with
