Winnipeg, Canada University Medical Group - Department of Surgery Full time

**Key Responsibilities**
- Schedule and manage virtual clinical appointments including new consults and follow-up appointments
- Ensure all consults are entered into SWIM and reviewed/triaged by the surgeon
- Virtual Clinic preparation - pull charts, print clinic list, call for test results, x-rays etc.
- Attend virtual clinics and ensure patients are registered/checked in for appointment - clinic reception and patient flow
- Prepare virtual clinic rooms - ensure rooms stocked and cleaned before and after each visit and at the end of a clinic
- Ensure all test results/letters available and in-patient file for surgeon’s review
- Ensure all patient demographics are up to date and most recent information is entered into EPR scheduling system
- Maintain virtual clinic schedule during clinics to ensure clinic runs efficiently and in a timely fashion - may require consultation and coordination with clinical nurse if applicable
- Book all required tests and additional appointments as requested by surgeon
- Tariff of clinical and surgical visits for submission to Surgical Billing Office
- Triaging of telephone calls and reception duties
- Transcribing, editing, copying & mailing of clinical dictations
- Maintains and updates, as required, office procedures, and filing systems including management of files for off-site storage (electronic and paper)

**Experience and Attributes**:

- Minimum one to two years directly related experience, preferably in a health care setting.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite/EMR/EPR Scheduling Systems

**Education**:

- Successful completion of a recognized Medical Office or Medical Secretarial/Administrative Program

- **Performs other related duties as assigned.

Pay: $22.10-$24.29 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
