**Why is this role important**
Our** Department Managers **are inspired doers. They help provide a positive in-store shopping experience by ensuring the store is always ready with available products that meet customer needs to live life well. Our managers inspire our customers through delightful conversation and knowledge of products.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
Key Responsibilities will include:
- To manage employees and maintain the department in an effective and efficient manner
- Have an understaning of the deparment financials and be able to meet budget expectations for Sales, Labour, Shink, etc.
- To be able to create displays and execute promotions for product
- To manage inventory levels and ensure orders and production are maintained to expected service levels
- To be able to Hire and Train new employees
- To cut meat in compliance with the store’s cutting standards
- To receive meat and check invoices ensuring quantity is accurate and quality of product meets with store standards
- To store meat on trays in an orderly fashion in preparation for wrapping
- To wrap and price meat on trays as required
- To clean the work area ensuring the sanitation of the department meets with store standards
- To follow the store safety procedures at all times
- Adhere to strict cleaning schedule ensuring a high level of cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Maintain product displays and follow store procedures.
- Assisting customers whenever possible
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications and Skills**
- Meat Cutting Experience is an asset, but not required (training will be provided)
- Able to understand the financial aspects of the department
- Able to stand for length of the shift (Up to 8hrs)
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Able to work in a temperature controlled environment
- Follow store safety and sanitation practices.
- Able to work various shifts - days, evenings and week-ends.
- Represent the company in a professional way at all times.
This position is available for Full Time only and applicant must be available anytime.
